Bringing Home Sunshine
Poem #272 • Smiling into the soft natural light of you
Whoosh of the water
breeze of the sky
from the blue of the ocean to the blue overhead
carry little Ms. Sunshine from the bow of the boat
to the hull of the clouds
so I can watch golden yellow pierce through
so I can smile into the soft natural light of you
Float back to me
on the whisps of the wind
winding down as night rolls in
our boat brings us home
I’ve got a piece of sunshine to call my own
