Poem #309 • A prototype with an exoskeleton of greased gears
Her hair stands like wire suspensions
extensions of the mechanical ear feeding aural information to her brain
A pretty face
somber in its default state
seems like the only expression worthy of the embrace of copper
A prototype with an exoskeleton of greased gears
oiled joints
solid bones made of weathering steel
showing signs of natural aging through a patina process
Keeping time of functions behind layers of artificial skin
blending in is only a matter of calculation
Where there is a will there may be a way
Is advancement sometimes a sign of human decay?
