Violence is the answer some might say
to get above water
fighting for what is yours
for your turf
Anybody with a pair of eyes can see the holes in that philosophy
brother against brother
father against child
child against mother
this is not life abundant
but a spiral towards death
like a metal frame above water
collapsing from lack of breath
Some may hate you for following a principle that gives others a chance to be redeemed
a chance at salvation
but the one that remains faithful to the end
may not just be saved themselves
but make disciples of nations
