Everyday since they were children
this couple has ridden through this field
with grass tall and wild
below the bluest of skies
riding a pink bike hardly showing its age
from the days of their youth
they once decided not a day should pass
without riding through this place together
bonding their lives stronger than fired glass

Never having more than one seat and one bike
as they rode and time moved behind
they realized this treasure should last
in this tall and wild grass pass
they made a pass of their own
as if in harmonious sync
from that day forward
making this simple joy last always and a mile
