Green Daisy
Poem #311 • At the gate to the ethereal timberland
Green daisies in the wood
a carpet of flowers draped in a field of earth
one stands at the gate to the ethereal timberland
A blossom young and strong
figure toned and full as spring’s song
between the clearing and the path to beyond
a crown of glimmer gold and polished stone
adorns the face of the one that grants entrance to cryptic brush
The depth of red lips and blue eyes
have seen and speak much of the perils ahead
marking in your memory
a place to return
a green daisy
the clearing
a safe stead
