There once was a city of concrete
where everyone didn’t know anyone
and no one cared to meet
living was time
time was money
no one had a moment for honey
There we resided
trying to break free of the marching web of possession
from money and poverty’s net of oppression
decompression seemed next to impossible
but then it happened
The city collapsed exposing the spirit of man
to things that were important instead of the robotic machine and its mechanical clan
Cinder blocks atop the rubble of lives
pulled back at the reigns of the powers that be
in its despotic demise
we finally found a destiny
Half of your face came out from the perilous dark
half was inside
having a hard time believing you could truly venture outside
So we held hands
I brushed your hair aside
we embraced in love that could be built from the falling of the mechanized sky
