A woman’s heart grows in immeasurable size
her chest moves forward in anticipating expanse
as the wait for her child grows quickly inside
with each passing day, week, and month
nothing is the same again as the future of her years are sure
to graciously protect and lovingly nurture
she was built to be the gentle contour
the silver lining in all things
her steadfast resolve is that her baby knows God in all
that this child is definitively strong
that they cannot be pulled by the strings of the world’s flailing wings
