Splashing Through Life

In our own sunstruck corner
in our home simple and fair
in a white tub barely big enough for two
we play like raucous children together
splashing with suds and water too

There is nothing in life which we do not make boisterous play
life feels easy with her comforting tone
assuring touch
foamy splashes

It brings full-feeling joy
to know in this time of our lives
building something together
is as rich with glee
from the first chapter to the special last
we are riding together
two passengers in this soapy boat
let the good times roll
while we hold each other to play and to float
