The queen of my life
atop a throne of pure joy
you’ve smiled for me since the day we met
Unlike then
now your smile isn’t just yours
it’s as deep as the stars and wide as the sun that lit up my life from each moment on
expanding what could be even when we had so much to bear
My white swan
of the water of life you were born
of it you swim even now
giving thanks to the Lord
praising me in every way a man could desire but does not deserve
I hope everything I do reflects back what you give to me in greater degree
for in all humility and strength
knighthood, king, and servant in one
I am honored that such blessings are given by God
that in my time
He has seen fit to give me you as one
so that I can know the responsibility of love as a man
and understand a bit better the unconditional nature of a lion that is also a sacrificial lamb
